Welcome to The Works, Crossbridge’s children’s ministry!

Check-In
Visit our Check-in table every Sunday morning from 10:15 – 10:45 AM for a quick and easy automated check-in for members and an easy hassle- free check-in for visitors. Every child now gets a printed nametag that includes their name, grade & special medical information. If you haven’t received your check-in key tag yet, but would like one, just fill out our registration form, available here or at the registration table. Each parent/guardian will also receive a check-in receipt that is needed to pick-up your child at the end of service. We want to make sure we are providing a safe and fun environment for your children and no matter what age your child is, we have special areas designed just for them.

Littleworks
Littleworks is the area for the youngest members of Crossbridge. Children ages birth through two years will enjoy quality time every Sunday morning with our caring and loving volunteers. There are two–three volunteers scheduled each week and they assist the kids as they enjoy the different areas set up for them in Lil’ Works. Our program is filled with nurturing love and laughter, animated songs and storytelling and lots of play time. Even our youngest children are introduced to stories and projects that teach about Jesus. Littleworks is available every Sunday morning from 10:15 AM until the end of service and is located in the Children’s area in the back half of the cafeteria. If you would like to more information or to volunteer in Littleworks please contact Becky Frey, Director, The Works.

Kiddieworks & Kidworks Worship
Our Pre-school through Fifth Graders begin each Sunday morning worshiping God in a special Praise and Worship time designed just for them. We have upbeat songs and music videos to engage them in praising God. Our worship time starts every Sunday at 10:30 AM.

Kiddieworks
Kiddieworks is our Pre-school area for three to five year olds who are not yet in Kindergarten. After participating in the large group Praise and Worship they now have a new program designed just for them – First Look. First Look will repeat one key Bible truth each month and has lots of activities to engage the five senses (because we all know pre-schoolers have LOTS of energy!)

By the time our pre-schoolers graduate to Kidworks, we want them to know that:
• God Made Me
• God Loves Me
• Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever.

Kidworks
Kidworks is for children in Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. Kidworks uses the 252 Basics curriculum, which is based on Luke 2:52: “…and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man”.

Our fun and interactive curriculum is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace.
• I need to make the wise choice.
• I can trust God no matter what.
• I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Each month the children will learn a Core Virtue and Memory Verse. Each week they will be taught a key concept and Bible story that relates to the Core Virtue and Memory verse of the month. They will also learn that God is the one and only true God, yet He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is the Creator, so everything belongs to Him and is under His control. God is holy, so He is righteous, majestic, and loving. God is all knowing and purposeful, so He’s at work to bring about His will. No person, thing, or idea compares to God.

Each Sunday after praise and worship, Kidworks will have a large group time filled with fun skits and Bible stories. They will then break up into small groups (K, 1st/2nd, 3rd–5th) for age appropriate games, crafts and one on one time with a small group mentor and fellowship with their peers. Each small group has one small group mentor who will pray with your child and help them connect the day’s lesson to their everyday lives.

For more information or to volunteer for any area of The Works, contact Becky Frey, Director, The Works.

Vacation Bible School
Every summer Crossbridge sponsors Vacation Bible School for its families and the children in the community. With its unique and exciting curriculum, VBS offers children a wonderful time singing praise songs, playing games, making crafts and watching skits and videos. We look forward each year to VBS as another way of sharing God’s love with our kids.

This year we will hold the VBS program SKY–where everything is possible with God! Our VBS will run from July 23-26 from 9 am- 12:30 pm! Save the dates and visit us again in April 2012 for more information and to register online.

Crossbridge has several men’s “accountability” groups at present. These are groups of 2 to 4 men who meet regularly to challenge one another and to encourage each other. Meetings are held at various times throughout the week. Groups are small, confidential, closed gatherings that meet regularly at Mugs Coffee House in Swedesboro. We spend time getting to know each other, reading God’s word, praying for one another and challenging each other to live godly lives.

One of the values of Crossbridge is that everyone doesn’t have to know everyone, but everyone should know someone. That’s where small groups come in. As the church grows larger, it can be easy to get lost in the crowd. By joining a small group, you can make sure that you stay plugged into Crossbridge, not only to be able to serve, but to get your needs met as well. No matter what your needs are, there is a small group for you.

Small groups meet for three 10-week sessions from October – June. If you think you may be interested in small groups, please call the church at (856) 832-0200 or email Jaime Lloyd. We will be happy to place you in a small group that fits you and your family’s needs!

A new session of small groups begins the first week of February. We are so excited to be bringing back our popular “Dinners for 6-8-10″ small groups this winter. These small groups are held over dinner or dessert and are a perfect opportunity to get to know other families at Crossbridge. Please take a moment to sign up using the link below. We would love to have you join us this year!

Every Thursday from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-centered 12 Steps. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, victories and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems.

By working the Christ-centered steps and applying their biblical principles found in the Beatitudes, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger person relationship with God and others. As we progress through the principles and steps, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power—Jesus Christ.

Ministry. In its simplest form it means reaching out to meet another’s need. Jesus’ response to the question, “[What] is the greatest commandment…” informs our ministry.

…Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind…And the second is…love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-39)

As Jesus’ love transforms us, we are compelled to share His healing love with our neighbors. Crossbridge Community Church’s missions team, as a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, works to share the practical message of Christ’s love with the marginalized, the poor, the wounded, and the sick both at home and around the world.

Come join us and be a part of the plan Jesus has for all of us!

Host/Greeter – Do you enjoy meeting new people and making others feel welcome? By serving as a greeter you have the opportunity to make a great first impression on our guests. Many times people make a decision about a church based on their first impressions. Crossbridge is committed to creating a welcoming and non-threatening environment. As a greeter you have the opportunity to convey that from the moment people walk in the door.

KidWorks Leader/Assistant – If you enjoy working with children as much as we do, we’d love to have you on our KidWorks team! There are numerous positions available from nursery – 5th grade. Leader and assistant positions are available.

Set-Up Team – Our sanctuary is created each Sunday with the help of our dedicated set-up team. Volunteers on this team work closely to develop a special worship environment with elements that include lighting, stage-setup and cafe.

Worship Team – Musically-inclined folks are wanted to join Crossbridge’s worship team. If you can sing or play, we’d love to hear from you!

Administrative Help – Crossbridge needs someone who can help with light adminstrative duties on a volunteer basis. If you can give a few hours per week in service to the Lord, please let us know.

Creative Team – Love movies? Read a lot of good books? Crossbridge needs your help in coming up with creative ideas, multimedia clips, etc. for upcoming worship services and other events.
