Small Groups

One of the values of Crossbridge is that everyone doesn’t have to know everyone, but everyone should know someone. That’s where small groups come in. As the church grows larger, it can be easy to get lost in the crowd. By joining a small group, you can make sure that you stay plugged into Crossbridge, not only to be able to serve, but to get your needs met as well. No matter what your needs are, there is a small group for you.

Below are the small groups offered this fall. To sign up for a particular small group, please email the group leader by clicking on their name. For more information about small groups, you can contact Brent McNamara, Crossbridge’s Pastor of Connection.

*Starting Point*
Mondays at 7 pm in Woolwich Township
Childcare: Provided
Hosts: Jeff and Julie Smith
Facilitators: Mark Barnish & Joe Frey

Starting Point is a group for people who are relatively new to the faith or who are investigating and want to understand how God’s story intersects with their own. In 10 weeks we will take a sweeping look at the Bible and how God pursues a relationship with people that have gone their own way. If you have never taken Starting Point before, come join us, ask any questions you want, and come find your place in His Story.

*What We Believe*

What are some of the core beliefs of the CMA Church? Crossbridge? What are your beliefs? Come to the Lloyd’s small group for an open discussion about our beliefs as Christians. We’ll discuss the CMA church, missions, biblical translations and other core theological issues that impact us as members of Crossbridge Community Church.

*A Case for Christ Book Study*

Wednesdays at 7 pm in Mickleton
Childcare: Provided
Hosts: Dave and Leslie Cuthbert
Leaders: Dave Cuthbert and Mark Anselmo

Come join us to explore the Case for Christ. The Case for Christ records Lee Strobel’s attempt to “determine if there’s credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God.” The book consists primarily of interviews between Strobel (a former legal editor at the Chicago Tribune) and biblical scholars such as Bruce Metzger. Each interview is based on a simple question, concerning historical evidence (for example, “Can the Biographies of Jesus Be Trusted?”), scientific evidence, (”Does Archaeology Confirm or Contradict Jesus’ Biographies?”), and “psychiatric evidence” (”Was Jesus Crazy When He Claimed to Be the Son of God?”). Together, these interviews compose a case brief defending Jesus’ divinity, and urging readers to reach a verdict of their own.

*Gospel of Matthew*

Thursdays at 7 pm in Mullica Hill
Childcare: Not Provided
Hosts: Brent and Tricia McNamara
Leader: Brent McNamara

It’s no accident that the Gospel of Matthew is the first book in the New Testament. From its inception, Christians have regarded the Gospel of Matthew as one of the most important books of the New Testament. The Gospel of Matthew contains the greatest quantity of Jesus’ teaching including his most well-known teachings such as the Beatitudes, The Lord’s Prayer and the Golden Rule. Additionally, Matthew also contains the greatest number of links with Judaism and the Old Testament. Come learn more about Jesus, His ministry, and His teachings.
