CBmissions

CBlocal

CBlocal is a group within Crossbridge that organizes our local outreach opportunities. All of our activities will be in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area and will focus on loving people who are in need- whether they are homeless, foster children, lonely senior citizens, children & adults with special needs, families with financial hardships, or anyone going through a difficult time. Our goal is to embody what it says in John 13:35:

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Together We Rise- Foster Care Duffel Bag Drive

Children entering foster care experience so much trauma and fear in those first few days of placement, and they are often forced to pack their items in trash bags when leaving their homes. This leaves them feeling worthless, like they are being thrown away. We'd like to help prevent that for some local kids by creating beautiful duffel bags filled with blankets, stuffed animals, coloring books & crayons, and toiletries. This will be our 4th year participating in this fundraiser, and it is always such a wonderful way to give back! We can't do it without your donations and assistance!

Every $25 you donate buys a bag with all the goodies inside. At the end of the 60 days of fundraising, we will be planning a day for people to help us decorate and fill the bags, which will then be donated to our local Gloucester County DCP&P office.

Please feel free to share the link for this fundraiser and help make it a success! The last 2 years we were able to decorate and fill almost 100 duffel bags! Let's try to beat that number this year! Thank you in advance friends!

Ongoing & Past Projects:

Friends Village Nursing Home Visits

Come help us spread love and cheer to the residents of the Friends Village Nursing home in Woodstown, NJ.  Children are welcomed and encouraged to attend, as long as they are not sick. This is a great way for the whole family to serve together. Please contact Katie Halpin for more details on how to participate in this ministry & future dates..

Blessing Bags for the Homeless

Thank you so much everyone who donated or attended our second Blessing Bags for the Homeless event in June. We had another great turnout & provided another 50 bags of much needed items for the homeless of Philadelphia. We will be doing more of these events in the future. Stay tuned for future events or visit Unforgotten Haven's website to set up your own blessing bag build.

Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a wonderful organization that provides meals to local senior citizens who are homebound get a hot meal & a visit from a friendly face that day. Several of our CBLocal members have recently gone to volunteer training to assist in this ministry, and they can always use more help! If you'd like to get involved with this ministry, please contact Teresa Christoff to volunteer or get more information. This is a great opportunity and only requires once a month commitment for about 2 hours. If you'd like to do a ride along & see what it's all about, contact Katie Halpin for future dates.

Kings Things

Volunteers are always needed to help out at Kings Things in Swedesboro! If you'd like more information on how to help, please contact Gerry Siglow at gsiglow@aol.com.

CBglobal

CBglobal is in its infancy stages at Crossbridge. We’ve sent teams to the Dominican Republic, Uganda, France, Nepal, & are developing a relationship with the CM&A in the Middle East. This is all fueled by Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:18-20 to go and make disciples.
