CBlocal is a group within Crossbridge that organizes our local outreach opportunities. All of our activities will be in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area and will focus on loving people who are in need- whether they are homeless, foster children, lonely senior citizens, children & adults with special needs, families with financial hardships, or anyone going through a difficult time. Our goal is to embody what it says in John 13:35:

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Together We Rise- Foster Care Duffel Bag Drive

Children entering foster care experience so much trauma and fear in those first few days of placement, and they are often forced to pack their items in trash bags when leaving their homes. This leaves them feeling worthless, like they are being thrown away. We'd like to help prevent that for some local kids by creating beautiful duffel bags filled with blankets, stuffed animals, coloring books & crayons, and toiletries. This was our 4th year participating in this fundraiser, and it is always such a wonderful way to give back! Thanks for helping us reach our goal of 100 bags!

Drivers Needed for American Cancer Society

Transportation can be one of the biggest roadblocks to cancer treatment. As a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program, you can help provide patients in need with a free ride to treatment. Volunteer now. You may be surprised by the pick-me-up you get in return.

The American Cancer Society provides Road to Recovery, a free program to people undergoing cancer treatment so that they can get to their treatments free of worry or cost.  They are dependent upon volunteers to maintain this program.  Volunteers can choose how far they wish to drive, how often, what days, etc. The volunteer must be between 18 and 84, be familiar with using a computer, have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance, be willing to have a DMV and background check completed and take a 45-minute training. Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a wonderful organization that provides meals to local senior citizens who are homebound get a hot meal & a visit from a friendly face that day. Several of our CBLocal members have recently gone to volunteer training to assist in this ministry, and they can always use more help! If you'd like to get involved with this ministry, please contact Teresa Christoff to volunteer or get more information. This is a great opportunity and only requires once a month commitment for about 2 hours. If you'd like to do a ride along & see what it's all about, contact Katie Halpin for future dates.

CBglobal is in its infancy stages at Crossbridge. We’ve sent teams to the Dominican Republic, Uganda, France, Nepal, & are developing a relationship with the CM&A in the Middle East. This is all fueled by Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:18-20 to go and make disciples.
