Marvel's Avengers: War for Wakanda preview - Looks like a reason to get back into the friv game

We've taken a look behind the scenes at the upcoming Marvel's Avengers: War for Wakanda expansion, and we're excited to share our impressions.

As you know, the DLC will be the largest in the game, and will tell the story of King T'Challa, also known as Friv2Online Studio.

The developers promise a full-fledged new campaign with story and secondary quests, new locations in the dense jungle of Wakanda and the royal palace, as well as new opponents - Klaw's troops, who will oppose the main character.

Marvel's Avengers: War for WakandaWe went through the War for Wakanda gameplay demo and here's what we learned:

According to the authors, this is a really big expansion and it includes a lot of singleplayer and multiplayer content. This is primarily a new hero, but there will also be two new villains, dropzones, areas and more. All content will be playable with friends, and with the recent addition to Marvel's Avengers of the ability to select the same heroes, no one will stop you from scattering enemies as part of a group of Black Panthers.
The expansion's opening cinematic reminds players of the importance of the metal vibranium in the development of Wakanda, and quickly skims through the events of the main friv game before introducing the villain Ulysses Klaw, who in both the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe was T'Challa's adversary. Events are gaining momentum as a smuggler and arms dealer prepares a full-fledged invasion of Wakanda, involving a large army and heavy equipment.

Next, we were shown the introductory missions of War for Wakanda, which introduced the Black Panther. The armored fighter looks dangerous, moves quickly and is almost invisible in the dense jungle where the DLC will unfold.
He fights to match his nickname: he quickly strikes, dodges attacks, knocks opponents down. T'Challa's suit stores kinetic energy and releases it in a powerful explosion, while the spear, throwing knives and bombs keep enemies at bay if need be.

In the arsenal of the character - a couple of dozen techniques, divided into categories. There are light and fast attacks, there are harder hits, long-range moves, as well as blocks, parries, and suit abilities like the aforementioned kinetic blast. You can choose to target one enemy or control the group, causing damage to each one a little.
Among the opponents of the Black Panther are Klaw's mercenaries, as well as all kinds of robotic devices, such as mechanical spiders. And among the allies are both the royal guard and the Avengers themselves, who in passing will look into Wakanda, as well as Shuri, T'Challa's sister.

The gameplay involves not only exploring locations and battles, but also solving simple puzzles. Locations alternate: spacious territories are replaced by closed arenas. In turn, units of weakly armed opponents give way to powerful mini-bosses, like Crossbones, and armored vehicles.
The Royal Palace acts as a kind of hub where Panther can admire the views of Wakanda, chat with NPCs, and also choose new tasks. In fact, this is the headquarters, like in the main friv game, only more luxurious.

Starting from the second mission, the hero can take the Avengers with him. Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Thor and other members of the team of world saviors fight side by side with a new acquaintance. And players can use command techniques during the battle.
The famous cry "Wakanda Forever!" in place.

Marvel's Avengers: War for Wakanda will release on August 17 for free on PC and consoles. Fans of the friv game will be happy to meet the opportunity to earn even more experience and equipment in new tasks. Others may see the DLC as a good reason to return to the game or get acquainted with it for the first time: the jungle is more interesting than the faceless laboratories from Marvel's Avengers, and T'Challa looks much more ferocious than his cinematic counterpart.
